Carlos C. McNab

BORN: July 10, 1934
DIED: December 4, 2012
LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Carlos McNab, 78, of Ames, passed away December 4, 2012 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Burial will be in the Ames Muncipal Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
He was born on July 10, 1934 to Carlos and Josephine (Manfredo) McNab in Chicago, IL. He graduated from De Paul University, University of Illinois and Harvard Graduate School of Business. He worked for the Rueben H. Donnelly Corp. from 1964 to 1994. He was Director of Operations and General Manager at Donnelly's in Nevada, IA from 1975 to 1994.
Upon retirement, his interests were sports and had a lifelong quest of waiting for the Chicago Cubs to go to the World Series. He later became an ISU Cyclone fan.
He is survived by his wife, Janet "Joni" Griffith McNab; children Scott (Jennifer) McNab of Bettendorf, IA; step children George (Michelle) Griffith of Idaho Falls, ID, Georgeann Griffith Fischer (Mark) of Chandler, AZ; and brother Martin McNab (Patricia) of Fountain Hills, AZ; and eight grandchildren: Jasaon McNab, Ryan McNab, Caitlin Griffith, Tristan Griffith, Nori Griffith, Aidan Griffith and David Fischer. Carlos also has left a lifelong list of personal friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
