From Nevada Representative September 21, 1881

Killed by the Cars.

Mr. George Wingert, a brother of Mr. A. F. Wingert of Milford towhship, was killed instantly by the cars at Glidden about two weeks ago. He was a breakman on conductor W. M. Gallup's train, and was in the act of coupling cars, when his head was caught by a projecting piece of timber on one of the cars and crashed. He fell on the track and three cars passed over his body. His remains were brought to this place and taken in charge by his brother who conveyed them to Franklin Grove Illinois, for burial. He had only been on the train a short time, but was considered a good and trusty employe, as he had a considerable experience years before in railroading in Illinois.
