Ellen Faye Golly, 70, of Maxwell, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.

Faye was born December 12, 1941, to James "Dean" and Esther (McKibben) Williams in Garden Grove, Iowa. She graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1960, and married Virgil Wayne Corbin on June 14, 1962. To this union two children were born: Edward Wayne and Kimberley Sue. Virgil passed away September 21, 1973. Faye then married Leonard Leon Golly, and together they enjoyed owning and operating Golly's Locker in Maxwell. Leonard passed away June 11, 1995.

Faye was a member of the Maxwell Presbyterian Church in Maxwell and enjoyed flowers, watching the birds and sitting around the kitchen table with family and friends.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Kimberley of Maxwell; her sister, Waunita (Jerry) D'Attilio of Derby, Iowa; her brother, George (Karen) Williams of Woodburn, Iowa; four grandsons; and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and her son Edward on June 9, 2011.

Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at the Maxwell Community Center in Maxwell (84 Main Street in Maxwell). Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012, also at the community center with Reverend Ian McMullen officiating. Faye will be laid to rest in the Maxwell Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Maxwell Community Center, the Maxwell First Responders or the Maxwell Presbyterian Church.
