Michael Lee Randolph

BORN: February 24, 1958
DIED: September 11, 2012
LOCATION: Gilbert, Iowa

Michael Lee Randolph was born February 24, 1958 to Marion and Leora (Bartels) Randolph in Maquoketa, Iowa. He was a handyman and woodworker and owned Mike's Custom Cabinets. Michael also worked in the meat department at Fareway and was a member of the Ames Woodworkers Club. He was on the advisory council for the Gilbert Community School District and was a supporter of the Gilbert Athletic Boosters. Michael was an avid Iowa State Cyclone and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed watching movies, fishing and had a passion for classic cars and antique tractors. Each year he enjoyed the fall harvest with his children and family.

Michael passed away September 11, 2012 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames at 54 years of age..

Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson Randolph of Gilbert; his children James (Blayr) Randolph and daughter, Mackenzie, Nicole (Andy) Randolph and their son, Aiden, Brent Randolph, and Shelby Randolph; his sisters Lauleen Krumviede and Margo (Paul) Christiansen; his brother Lynn Randolph; his father-in-law Leonard Johnson of Gilmore City; his brothers-in-law Gary Johnson of Gilmore City, Lowell (Rennie) Johnson of Gilmore City, and Bruce (Cheryl) Johnson of Humboldt; sisters-in-law Lavonne Hoover of Gilmore City, Carolyn (Bill) Holt of Ames, and Connie (Jim) Dudding of Huxley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law Doris Johnson; sister-in-law Denise Johnson; and a brother-in-law August Krumviede.

Memorials may be directed toward the family.
