AGED LADY PASSED AWAY.

Mrs. Bertha A. Lura was born near Stavanger, Norway July 8, 1838 and died Sunday, December 16, 1906 being the time of her death, 68 years, 5 months and 8 days old. She was married to Mr. Hover Lura in 1846 to which union nine children were born, five of whom survive their mother. They are, Hover Lura, and A. H. Lura of this place, Mrs. M. Malmin, at McCallsburg, Mrs. John Evenson, of this place and Bergitha Lura, of Minneapolis, Minn. All the children were present at her death.

She had 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Her husband died in Norway in 1869 and in 1881 she came to this country where she has made her home with her children, having lived at the M. Malmin home the past 13 years.

The funeral services were held from the Malmin home at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday and at 1 p. m. at Salem Church in Roland, Rev. Sandven officiating. The remains were interred in the Roland cemetery.
