Amanda Adix, age 11, died from health issues on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at her home in Ellsworth. A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday followed by burial at Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell. A memorial fund has been established and gifts may be sent to: P. 0. Box 177 in Ellsworth, Iowa 50075.

Amanda Jae Adix was born in Ames, Iowa to Donald and Holly (Quade) Adix. She was baptized at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Amanda lived with her loving parents on their farm west of Ellsworth. She loved the special attention she was given by her grandparents. Amanda will be greatly missed.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Don and Holly Adix of Ellsworth, and grandparents, Stan and Janet Adix also of Ellsworth.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alan and Beverly Quade.
