Donald T. Rafdal, 85, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011.

He was born in Story City, the son of Torger and Hanna (Visted) Rafdal. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member and former elder of St. John Lutheran Church. He worked at Tube Processing Corp as a purchasing manager for 36 years.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Opal (Cleveland) Rafdal; sons, Kevin (Pam) Rafdal, Mark (Cheryl) Rafdal, and James (Kathy) Rafdal; brother, Elwood Rafdal; sister, Gladys Waugh; and seven grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
