Lois Marie Heintz, 70 of Nevada died on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18 in the Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada with Pastors Myron D. Herzberg and David R. Burling officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Lois was born on February 22, 1942 in State Center to Paul R. and Mabel I. (Brown) Lunde. On August 15, 1959, she was united in marriage to Larry R. Heintz in Colo. Lois was employed by General Financial. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church. Lois loved watching and coaching from the bench all of her grandchildren's soccer games. She also enjoyed bird watching and flower gardening.

Family was everything to Lois and left to mourn her passing are her husband, Larry of Nevada; a son, Rick (Kris) Heintz of Ankeny; two daughters, Terri Heintz and Tracy (Bill) George, all of Nevada; eight grandchildren Angela (Aaron) Kendall, Dain Heintz, Mandi George, Lance Speed, Devin Heintz, A.J. George, Dru Heintz, and Tyler Speed; a brother, Peter (Carol) Lunde of Garwin; two sisters, Gerry Melton of Nevada and Janet (Dan) Geisler of Clive.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17 with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. again at the Memorial Lutheran Church.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Lois.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Lois and her family.
