Mark Halverson 40, of Huxley, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011, at home.

Mark was born March 17, 1970, in Des Moines to Wayne and Sharon (Naber) Halverson. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1989, and had worked for Lowe's. Mark enjoyed racing, watching the Chicago Bears, duck hunting and being outdoors and watching his nephews play football.

Mark is survived by his father, Wayne Halverson of Polk City; his brother Scott Halverson (Roberta Osborn) of Huxley; his nieces and nephews, Ashley and Courtney Halverson, Devan Neubauer, Garett, Austin and MaKena Halverson.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2007.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the Palestine Lutheran Church in rural Huxley. Interment will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements.
