Obituary

Patricia Ann Hockett, 79, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm at Collegiate United Methodist Church in Ames.

Pat was born April 14, 1931, in Knoxville, Iowa to Donald and Hallie Bucklew. After high school, she attended business school. She met and married her husband, Daniel Dwaine and lived in Carlisle. They moved to Ames and both worked for the IDOT. They had two children, Kathy, and James. Pat worked various jobs in Ames throughout her career at the IDOT, Litchfield Realty, ISU, and First National Bank. She was very involved with the local Soroptomist Club, and Collegiate United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Marilyn Burch.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hockett and her significant other, Dana Stoner; and son, James Hockett, and wife, Michelle, and their daughters, Shelby and Hannah.
