March 18, 1945 - November 23, 2011
Obituary

Roselyn R. Bielefeldt, 66, of Ames, died November 23, 2011 at Israel Family Hospice House following a lengthy and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, Nov. 27 at Stevens Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church with lunch to follow. Interment of the cremains will be at a later date.

Rose Bielefeldt was born March 18, 1945 in Monticello to Louis and Gladys Herington of Hopkinton. She married William W. Bielefeldt on July 16, 1966 in Hopkinton. Bill and Rose are the parents of two daughters, April and Angela.
She was a graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School, Delhi, IA, and the American Institute of Business, Des Moines.

Rose worked as an Administrative Assistant at Ames Laboratory, Iowa State University for 25 years before retiring. Her love for her husband, daughters, and granddaughter was beyond measure. She enjoyed many interests including travel, music, baking, reading, flowers, and gardening. Rose was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Rose is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bill; her daughter April Bielefeldt and husband Jeff Fishman of Castaic, CA; her daughter Angela Bielefeldt and husband Sean Newton; and granddaughter, Abigail Bielefeldt, of Superior, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Carl L. Herington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to , Israel Family Hospice House or Northminster Presbyterian Church.
