Obituary

Wilma Wicks, 88, of Ames, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Israel Family Hospice House. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 28 from 5 to 7 pm at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 10:30 am at Stevens Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Roland Cemetery.

Wilma Wicks was born June 3, 1923 in Hamilton County to Arthur and Clara (Johnson) Jacobson. She graduated from Roland High School in 1941. She married Talman Wicks November 22, 1963.

She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church. She retired in 1988 after 29 and a half years at Bourns. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth (Vicki) Borwick, of Nevada; five grandchildren, Chad (Vanessa) Borwick, Scott (Stacie) Borwick, Todd (Kristina) Borwick, Steven Bochmann, and Sandi (Doug) Nelson; eleven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Loren Jacobson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathryn Bochmann; and two brothers, Virgil and Archie Jacobson.
