Obituary

Mary Lindell, 80, of Ames, was called home to the Lord, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ames. Stevens Memorial Chapel is assisting her family. Entombment will be at Merle Hay Mausoleum in Des Moines.

Mary Lindell was born October 11, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska to William and Bertha (Wolter) Bathie. She graduated from Denver, Iowa High School. She married Myron Lindell in 1968. She was a programmer in computer science at Iowa State University, retiring in 1991.

Mary is survived by her husband, Myron Lindell; sons, Matthew (Dannette) Lindell, and Scott (Katie) Lindell; grandchildren, Savanna Irvin, and Jacob and Madison Lindell; great granddaughter, Alexis; and brother, William Bathie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Ann Gustafson.
