DIED: December 23, 2010
LOCATION: Kelley & Fort Dodge, IowaRosalyn Ranee Berrett Hassall, 33, of Kelley and Fort Dodge, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2010. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kelley. Family will welcome visitors on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the church.
Rosalyn was born in Ames on October 23, 1977. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1996 and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University in 2000. She was married on October 10, 2010 to the love of her life, Alan Hassall.
Ros taught French at the Ankeny School District, followed by working in the District 1 Office at the Department of Transportation until the time she was married. She recently started working in schools again as a substitute teacher, which she loved. Ros enjoyed attending cooking demonstrations and testing the recipes out on her friends and family, as well as searching out entertainment with Alan. Together they enjoyed traveling and watching movies. She was an honest friend to everyone she met. She always wore a smile and showed her kind heart.
Ros is survived by her adoring husband, Alan, her parents, Wayne and Millie Berrett, her sister and brother-in-law, Roxanne and Levi Bappe, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Marilyn Hassall, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Lesya Hassall, and her nephew and nieces, Ayden Bappe, Ayvarie Bappe, Ayla Bappe, and Alexandra Hassall.
Adams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
