Neoma Tomlinson

DIED: December 23, 2011

LOCATION: Huxley, Iowa

Neoma Katherine Tomlinson passed away, December 23, at the Madrid Home. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley, with a visitation Monday, December 26, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church.

Neoma was born October 23, 1922 in rural Huxley to Knut and Nellie (Bauge) Bjelland. She graduated from Huxley High School and continued her education in nursing, receiving an RN degree. Neoma married Leslie Tomlinson on October 5, 1947 at the Palestine Lutheran Church. She lived in Cambridge and Huxley for 45 years then moved to Faribault, MN were they lived for 15 years before returning to Huxley. Neoma was a member of Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley and the Ladies Auxiliary Post 233 in Cambridge. She enjoyed fishing, painting, reading, board games, playing cards and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three sons, Michael (Jean) Tomlinson of Rockport, IN, Mark (Cheryl) Tomlinson of Huxley and Vincent Tomlinson of Huxley; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
