Ora B. Burginger

BORN: February 25, 1914

DIED: January 2, 2012

LOCATION: Story City, Iowa

Ora B. Burginger was born February 25, 1914 to Charles F. and Alma (Kreuger) Werner in Germantown Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. She married Erwin F. Burginger at her parent's home on December 15, 1938. They farmed near Lamberton, Minnesota until 1974 and moved to Story City to enjoy their retirement. Ora was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City and enjoyed gardening, flowers, embroidering, canning vegetables, baking and entertaining.

Ora passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Colonial Manor in Zearing, Iowa at 97 years of age.

Ora is survived by two daughters, Diane (Harold) Gerdes of Fulda, Minnesota and Lois (Clayton) Ludvigson of Coralville, Iowa; her son Dale Burginger of Story City; five grandchildren, Merle Gerdes, Mark Gerdes, Lisa Gerdes, Sara Ludvigson Kelley, and Amy Ludvigson Anderson; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers Wesley Werner and Lloyd Werner; and her great-grandson Elijah Gerdes.

Memorials may be designated to Colonial Manor in Zearing.
