Funeral services for Thomas J. Morrison of Maxell were held Dec. 31 in the Maxwell Presbyterian church at 2 p. m. The Rev. Stanley Farmer and the Rev. Dan Kechel officiated. Burial was at the Maxwell cemetery.

Mr. Morrison died Dec. 29 in his Maxwell home at the age of 75. He had been in failing health for the past year. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Clara Carver, two brothers, Will and Till Morrison, and a baby sister, Viola.

Surviving are his wife, Edith Morrison, Ames Daily Tribune Maxwell correspondent; his daughters, Mrs. Lela (Morrison) Gamble of State Center and Blanche Morrison of Maxwell.

A stepson, Donald Walker, a stepdaughter, Faye Luce, two sons-in-law, Harold Gamble and T.J.Luce, a daughter-in-law, Helen Walker, and five grandchildren also survive.

Thomas J. Morrison was born Aug. 26, 1880, the son of Thomas J. and Anna Strickler Morrison, in Jasper county. He was united in marriage to Christina Link Feb. 15, 1900. Two daughters were born. Christina died in 1921.

On Feb. 25, 1932, Mr. Morrison married Edith V. Walker at Bethany, Mo. where he was a farmer and stockman. He retired in 1951 and moved to Maxwell.

He was a member of Collins Christian church, Odd Fellows lodge and Rebekah lodge.
