Father Hosea Alverson died on Monday last, particulars next week.

Hosia Alverson whose death we noticed last week was a native of Vermont, but has resided in this county about 14 years. He was 79 years old, last Dec. He became connected with the M. E. Church in A. D. 1835; for almost half a century he has been doing his masters will and could truthfully say with Paul, "I have faught a good fight. I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of life which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me."

The funeral services were by Rev. Jefferson of the M. E. church, and the interment in Woodland cemetery.
