Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Christensen, 53, R.R.1, were held today at 1:30 p.m. from Ascension Lutheran Church with the Rev. James W. Asp of the church officiating.
Mrs. Christensen died at her home Friday morning.
Born May 4, 1917 at Randall, she graduated from Randall High School in 1934 and had lived in Ames since 1938.
She had been a partner with her husband, Maurice Christensen in the Christensen Hardware, Oaks Golf Course and the Town and Country Bowling Lanes.
Mrs. Christensen was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Ames Women's Bowling Assn.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice; her mother, Mrs. Elsie Olson, Story City; two brothers, Newman Olson, Knoxville and Junior M. Olson, Pontiac, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Sheldahl and Mrs. Myrtle Chapman, both of Story City, Mrs. Florence Ramsey, Roland, and Mrs. Emma Shorten, Moline, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nels P. Olson in Sept. 1968.
The Adams Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
