Obituary

Mrs. B. B. Griffith died December 23, 1905. Bridget B. Rice was born in Ireland in 1825, came to America when nine years old. Married to John M. Griffith in Highland county, Ohio, April 14, 1841. Removed to McDonough county, Ill., in 1853 and to Iowa in 1868. Living on the same farm in the southeast part of Union township. She was one of the very few old settlers left in that vicinity. Her long life was one of unselfish devotion to the home. Her final sickness was of short duration, death coming after a week of illness at the home of her daughter in Cambridge. The funeral was held from the residence of Thomas Jarvill, Tuesday, December 26th, Rev. Isaiah Reed, an old time pastor, conducting the services, assisted by Rev. Sparks, of Maxwell and Rev. Harvey, of Cambridge.--Maxwell Tribune.
