From Story County Watchman September 1, 1905

James Dodd, an old time resident of Franklin township but now living in LeMars, Colo.*, yesterday died at his home in that place. He was one of the oldest settlers of this county and all older residents will remember him as such. The remains will be brought to Gilbert for interment in a couple of days.
