Julia Kallestadbakken died Sunday afteroon at the home of her mother, Mrs. Andrew Valen. She has been sick since March with consumption, though she has no been very low until a few days previous to her death. The funeral services were held at the St. Petri church Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Vangnes.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. Andrew Valen" was Margaret "Maggie" Rygtvedt, daughter of Osmund Rygtvedt and Eli Natre Rygtvedt, who married firstly John Kallestadbakken (Julia's father) and secondly, Andrew Valen on 6 March 1901 in Story City, Story County, Iowa.
