Died at 1:40 this morning after an illness of some duration, Patrick Daugherty, aged about 77 years. He was born in Roscommon county, Ireland, near Castle Ray, and came to this country in 1866, since which time he has resided in Illinois or this county. His wife died one week ago, and now he follows to that bourne from which there is no return. He leaves five children to mourn his departure, one of which Michael, is living in this city, the others at various points. The funeral will take place Monday under the auspices of the Catholic society. He was a good man and his neighbors would like to have had him remained with him for many year to come but such apparently could not be the case in this instance.
