From Story County Watchman May 13, 1904

The funeral services for the late Mrs. C. H. Elliott were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the family residence in Marcy township. The services which were conducted by Rev. Hayden of Ogden were held at 1:30 o'clock. Burial was at Coal Valley. Many friends of the deceased attended the services. Mrs. Elliott was the daughter of Thomas Hardcastle. She leaves a husband and one son. A sister Mrs. T. B. Holmes, lives in the Fifth ward, Boone, another sister, Mrs. G. A. Chapman, in Story county. Two brothers also live in Story county, W. R. and Dan. Hardcastle.

The sympathy of many friends in this and Story county is given the bereaved relatives in the sad death of Mrs. Elliott.--Boone News, 11th.
