Maxwell Tribune: The people of Maxwell and vicinity were greatly shocked Monday morning when the announcement was made that Thomas H. Higgs had suddenly died. Thomas H. Higgs was born in Washington county, Maryland, September 24, 1836, and died June 8, 1903, age sixty-six years, seven months and fourteen days. He moved to Iowa in March, 1872, and lived in Washington township, Polk county, until nine years ago when he moved to Maxwell and has resided here ever since....
