Roland Record: ....Mrs. Anna Williams Nockling was born Feb. 18, 1874, in Skaanevig, Norway. She came with her folks to this country in the year of 1893. December 17, 1898, she was married to Paul Nockling*, of this place. they moved to Roland where Mr. Nockling works at his trade as a mason. The last two or three years she has not been quite well until death overtook her at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, April 29, 1903. She was buried from Salem's church Friday afternoon, May 1, 1903....

*SUMITTER'S NOTE: According to marriage records, Paul Nockling and Anna Williams were married in Ellsworth, Hamilton County, Iowa December 8, 1898. He is listed as the son of Paul Clausen and Anna Olson and she as the daughter of Ole Williams and Carrie Larson.
