One of Nevada's Most Respected Citizens Dead.
Jerry O'Donnell died at his residence in this city Sunday morning about 8:00 o'clock.
The deceased was born at Calumet, Indiana, and when he was about six years of age moved to Nevada with his parents where he has since resided. Mr. O'Donnell was 42 years of age and for the past fifteen years has been day operator here. About a year ago Mr. O'Donnell began to realize that continued confinement was ruining his health and he was compelled to quit work for a while. He spent several months at Hot Springs, North Dakota, and came back to resume his work seemingly much improved bt a few weeks ago was again compelled to quit work and gradually grew weaker until the end came Sunday morning.
Jerry was a good man, a loving husband and father, always obliging, and to know him was to admire and respect him. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, five children, two brothers and a sister.
The funeral services were conducted by Father Nichols at St. Patrick's church at ten o'clock Tuesday morning, and interment made in the Catholic cemetery. He was a Woodman and the Woodman Lodge attended in a body.
The family have the sympathy of their many Nevada friends in their sad bereavement.
