Zearing Enterprise: One of the saddest event that ever took place in this community was when little Bertha, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hinecker, aged 3 years, 11 months and 11 days, was laid to rest in the cemetery. She was taken sick New Years' day with what developed into Scarlet fever and secondary Diphtheria....
