From Story County Watchman November 28, 1902

DIED:--Wednesday evening of this week Mrs. L. Bartlett died at her home in this city, and the remains were taken to Maxwell for interment. The direct disease was consumption. She was the mother of Mrs. Edgar John* of this city and her many friends here and elsewhere are pained to think they must part with her.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. Edgar John" was Mary Elizabeth (Bartlett) John, wife of Marion Edgar John.
