On Monday Henry Bailey died at his home just south of town aged 85 years, after a lingering illness. He was married twice, the first time to Miss Betsy Hammond, who died some years since, after which he was married to Mrs. Sarah Heizer* who survives him. He was born in Danville, Vt., and came to this county in 1851. He was one of the first settlers of Story county and was well and favorably known to all our people of the earlier days when he was prominent in affairs pertaining to the good of the community. The last rites were held from the residence under the direction of Rev. Dudley of the M. E. church.
