DIED--At Mercy Hospital, in Iowa City on Monday of this week Daniel Letson Zwilling aged 18 years 4 months and 24 days. The young man was well and favorably known to nearly all of our people having been born here and raised here as it were amongst us. His father died when he was an infant, and his mother afterwards married his brother. He was the favorite of them both and they did all that could be done to farther his aspirations for good, which are always laudible. He was a graduate of the school in this city and at the time of his death was attending college at Iowa City. The direct cause of his death was appendicitis caused by some thing unknown to all but supposed to be from exercise upon the track preparatory to a field meet. Thursday of last week his mother was notified by telegraph and at once went to his bed side and was soon followed by her husband both of whom did all that could be done to save him or ease his pains, but with out avail and the grim reaper claimed him for his own. The body was brought to Nevada Tuesday evening and services held by Rev. Sanford at his home and the remains were interred in our cemetry. The pall bearers were his classmates in our school and the school was closed as a tribute to his worth. A large number were present at the services and all extend to the bereaved ones their utmost sympathy in this hour of trouble.
