DIED--At Harlan, Iowa, on Christmas morning Mrs. Lucinda Bates. Mrs. Bates was born May 10th, 1822, and was married to W. L. Bates in 1838*, in Madison county, Ohio, and moved to Nevada in 1877, where she has since made her home. At the time of her death she was staying with Dr. Bates, and Wednesday the remains were brought to Nevada for interment beside her husband who died some years since. The last rites were held at the M. E. church Thursday afternoon and the remains laid to rest to await the last call.
