Slater News: ....The death of Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Matson occured at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. T. Newman, in this city early Monday morning.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. P. T. Newman" was Carrie Williams/Williamson, daughter of Olaf Williamson and Carsa (Nelson) Williamson. She was married to Peter T. Newman 5 March 1884 in Boone County, Iowa. A Carsa Linblom married Mats Matson 6 December 1878 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. Being Swedish, I am assuming Williams/Williamson is an Americanization of Linblom.
