A sad accident occured here last Sunday after noon when little Lewis Britson, nine year old son, of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Britson, was accidently shot by his older brother John. The boys were trying to shoot a rabbit under a building on their fathers lumber yard. John was to shoot and a number of boys were assisting in driving the rabbit from its hiding. When the rabbit came out somehow Lewis came in the way of the shot receiving the entire load in his side. He gasped, "O! I'm shot, I'll die", and all was over. The funeral was held at Bergan church Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Smedal delivered a fine funeral sermon to the many friends who were present. Public school was dismissed and teachers and pupils attended the funeral in a body. Our sympathy is with the sorrow family and especially the brother who caused his brothers death. Lewis has left this world and gone to a far better place.
