Mrs. M. E. Ayers died at her home in this city on Sunday morning after an illness of some duration. Her many friends here did all they could to make her last days comfortable as could be. She has lived in the city many years and is well known for goodness of heart and many charitable deeds. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church Tuesday under the directions of Rev. Brown, after which the remains were interred in the Nevada cemetery.
