From Story County Watchman April 27, 1900

We have heretofore referred to the serious illness of Mrs. N. Dunkelbarger adn today we with sorrow announce the demise of the estimable lady at her home in this city on Wednesday last at the age of 69 years. She was born in Pennsylvania and was married to Nathan Dunkelbarger who survives her to mourn the loss on an estimable companion. Orr Dunkelbarger, Mrs. O. S. Hammond and Mrs. Ed. Chapman, her children who survive to mourn her loss. To-day the last rites will be held from the M. E. church under the ministration of Rev. Brown and the remains will be laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery. The family came to this place in an early day and have made it their home right along. She was an estimable lady and stood high in the esteem of all who knew her, all of whom will be sorry to know that the end has at last come and the she has gone to the country from which there is no return, there to await the arrival of the loved ones left behind to mourn her loss.
