From Story County Watchman July 7, 1899

Yesterday Mrs. Ives*, the mother of Mrs. F. L. Spinney* of this city, died at their residence here and today the remains were taken to Boone for interment. The family have resided in the city for some time and the deceased stood high in the esteem of her friends and neighbors. She has been ill for sometime and the end was not unexpected. The family have the sympathy of neighbors and friends in this their hour of sorrow.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. Ives" was Mattie Albright, daughter of Michael Albright and Mary (Eden) Albright. She married first Edward Perkins with whom she had a daughter, Hattie Perkins, referred to as "Mrs. F. L. Spinney" as she married Frank L. Spinney. Mattie (Albright) Perkins married secondly, Orrin Ives, in 1886.
