From Story County Watchman August 5, 1898

DIED--At the home of her brother, M. McNichols north of this city on Wednesday last Mrs. Sarah Connaughty. She has been a widow several years and made her home with her brother during that time. The last rites were under the direction of Father Hennesy of the Catholic society and today the remains were interred in that cemetery west of town.
