Maxwell Tribune: ....The many friends of Prof. H. S. Stewart will be pained to learn of his death on the morning of the 21st inst., although it has been expected for some time. Mr. Stewart passed peacefully away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Evans, at about six o'clock a. m.

Prof. H. S. Stewart died Tuesday morning, June 21, of consumption after a long and lingering illness. He was a bright intelligent young, man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Prof. Stewart died at the home of his brother-in-law, Mr. Evans, in Iowa Center, on Tuesday morning after a lingering illness. He was compelled to give up his place as principal of our school in March, having had a severe hemorrhage of the lungs. It soon became evident that his trouble was consumption. He contemplated a trip to the mountains, but was never able to start. The funeral was held in the M. E. church Thursday at 2 p. m. The sermon being preached by Rev. C. E. Bentley. Mr. S. was a well educated young man, a christian gentleman, and a man that made friends wherever he went.
