From Story County Watchman July 16, 1897

DIED--At his residence in this city on Saturday morning Henry Boynton, aged 81 years, 1 month and 7 days.

Mr. Boynton had been sick for many weary months but at all times had a abiding faith that he would soom be around and until the last held that belief. He was a native of Holland, Orleans county, Vt. In 1855 he moved to Marion, Iowa, where he built and operated a flouring mill. He came to Nevada in 1860 and engaged in his first wife Mr. H. Parmenter* dying in 1861 by whom he had three children Mary, Irene and Quincy all of whom have passed to the beyond. In 1865 he was married to Mrs. Mary Moore Fuller* who with one daughter, Miss May, survives him. He was one of those who aided by example and energy in building up the great west and was well and favorably know to all, and his loss has been one that will long be remembered. Some of the notable improvements of the city was started and carried to completion by him thus assisting in the upbuilding of the city as well as assisting in all good works for the benefit of all. The funeral was conducted from his residence by Rev. Parsons of State Center. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, an original abolitionist, and a thoroughly exemplary man, despising all the usual hypocrisies of which this world has more its due share.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. H. Parmenter" was Hepsibah Willis previously married to Ezekiel Parmenter. Henry Boynton's second wife, referred to as "Mrs. Mary Moore Fuller" was Mary E. Moore previously married to Edwin Fuller.
