Colo Watchman.

Last Sunday evening Mr. Reuben Smith living one-half mile south of Colo, passed away after a brief illness of a few weeks duration. Mr. Smith was born in Northampton county, Pa. Nov. 18, 1821, and was just passed 75 years of age when called away by death. Mrs. Smith died last June, and now the old homestead is surely desolate. Mr. Smith stood high in the qualities of a good man, and had been a very useful and faithful member of the Evangelical church at this place for some thirty years. He will be missed by many of our citizens, but most of all by the family who were all permitted to be present before he passed away. The services were held in the Evangelical church on Wednesday a. m. conducted by the pastor and Rev. Force and interment made in Colo cemetery.
