From Story County Watchman December 25, 1896

Tuesday morning Mrs. L. Glasgow of Iowa Center, was found dead having died quite suddenly. She was quite aged and long a resident of the locality and was highly esteemed by all her neighbors and associates. Drs. F. S. Smith, of Nevada, and E. C. Scott, of Maxwell, were in the neighborhood and were notified, and they pronounced it a case of natural death. A few thought best to have an inquest held and Coroner Richmond was notified and returned a verdict as above, with the addition developed by the autopsy that the specific difficulty was the rupture of the right auricle of the heart.
