DIED.--At the residence of Chas. E. Armstron on Monday night Mrs. Emma Elmira Armstrong. Her maiden name was Whipple, and her place of birth Elmira, N. Y., and the date June 2, 1848. In her younger days the family moved to Indiana and in her sixth year they moved to Marion, Linn county, Iowa. August 10, 1875 she was united in marriage to Chas. E. Armstrong. In 1876 they moved to Cheyenne, Wy., where they resided until a short time, coming to Nevada in 1879, where they have made their home until this time. About one year ago she contracted the seeds of the disease which took away her life. Every aid was given to assist nature but without avail. She consulted physicians at Marion, from there to Omaha, Neb., but no hope was given her of recovery and the end came as noted on Monday night. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her loss, and look forward to a future in the great beyond. She was a member of the Methodist church of this place and the last rites were under the direction of Rev. Horswell. Thus goes another of the good and true women of this place to prepare a place for others to follow. All who knew her know her kindly disposition and desire to do the right at all times and under all circumstances. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of all.
