Ames Watchman

Mrs. Henry Wilson died at her home at 9:15 o'clock Sunday morning. The funeral was held at her home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Wilson was so highly respected and so well known throughout the county that the above announcement will bring a pang to every reader, even though her death had been expected for several weeks. Her place in the community will not soon be filled.

Also in the same paper:

Our Ames items announce the death of Mrs. Henry Wilson, of that city this week. Mrs. Wilson formerly was one of the best teachers in our schools and was well liked by all for the many sterling qualities of which she was possessed. While long expected her death was like a pall upon many here who had hoped for the best and that she might be spared for many years to come.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. A. Baker" refers to Roxana "Roxy" Kraiger, wife of Alonso/Alonzo "Lon" Baker. Both she and the deceased, Sara (Kraiger) Wilson are the daughters of John F. and Persis (Payne) Kraiger.
