Ames Intelligencer: ....Last Saturday Wm. Lathrow, an aged and respected resident in Story county, died very suddenly at Kelley, Iowa, where he had gone to take the train for Des Moines. After buying his ticket he was suddenly taken ill and died in about ten minutes....

Wm. Lathero, an esteemed farmer living a few miles southwest of Ames, died very suddenly Saturday morning. He drove to Kelley to take the train for Des Moines, and while sitting in the depot he was taken suddenly ill and died almost instantly. Heart failure was the presumable cause. he was buried Sunday afternoon.
