The Ames Watchman
Mr. J. H. Spencer died on Sunday morning from a complication of diseases, contracted in the war. He had been confined to his home for some time. The funeral was held in the Disciples church on Tuesday afternoon at 2'clock. Mr. Spencer was well known to Ames people and is highly respected by all. He leaves a number of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. The remains were accompanied to the last resting place by the Grand Army Post of with a number of the comrades from Nevada.
