Cambridge Watchman: F. E. Scott* and wife left Wednesday afternoon to attend the funeral of her sister's son, William Hosier, a gentleman about twenty years of age, who died Tuesday....

From Story County Watchman September 28, 1894

William D., the son of Rev. J. N. Hosier and wife, died at Woodburn, Iowa, on Sept. 18th. He was nearly 21 years old. Mr. Hosier had not been able to move to Weldopn, Iowa, on account of the sickness of his son, Welson being the last appointment Mr. Hosier had received as a pastor in the M. E. church.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. F. E. Scott" is Carrie Bell Haskins, who married Frank Scott. She was the sister of Emma M. Haskins, who married John Newton Hosier. John "J.N." and Emma Haskins Hosier were the parents of the deceased.
