Cambridge Press: ....Ole Nerness was born about ten miles from Bergen, Norway, March 3, 1822, and was married to Miss Margaret Nerness, a member of one of the numerous families residing on the same farm from which all took their name, on July 8, 1849. They emigrated from Norway in 1853 and settled in Kendall county, Illinois, removing to Story county, Iowa in 1855. Thirteen children were born to them....
