From Story County Watchman August 17, 1894

Mr. David Ives baby was taken ill, at the home of of Mrs. Ives' parents, on Sunday, August 5th, and died at home, on Friday last, and buried in the the Ames cemetery. The parents have our deepest sympathy in this their bereavement. This, we learn, is the third child that has been called.
