From Story County Watchman July 6, 1894

DIED.--Calista M. (Utterback) Weeks was born in Story County, Iowa, April 10th, 1859. Deceased June 30th, 1894, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Joana Elwood, in Colo, Iowa. After a few years of pioneer life in Dakota, Colorado and New Mexico, returned to the place of her childhood to bid farewell to the scenes of this mortal life. She was united in marriage the Barish C. Weeks August 7th, 1882. She was the mother of four children, one whom preceded her to the better land. Three sons with the father and husband, mourn the loss of a kind, indulgent mother and loving and affectionate companion. Three sister and one brother, with the aged parents, give one more bright jewel to the heavenly home. Kipp Utterback, as she was called in her childhood and youth was very amiable--a model for thers. She made a public profession of holy Christianity in early life. Near her last hours she was calm and serene, leaving to her father, mother and friends the pleasing testimony that she was going home.

The funeral services were held in the M. E. Church in the presence of a large audience, after which the body was laid to rest in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.

"What are our sufferings here,
If, Lord, thou count us meet,
With that enraptured host to appear,
And worship at thy feet.

A. W. GILCHRIST, Elder.

The relatives express their sincere thanks to the friends for their aid and sympathy during their affliction and bereavement.
